About the Job

The Director of Creative Operations will report to the Executive Director of Creative Operations and work closely with the Creative Art Director to manage the production of all global marketing assets across all channels including print, VM, digital and social from inception to on-time completion.

The Director will be responsible for developing and managing timelines and overseeing the production of copy, photography, graphic design and visual merchandising. The Director will work closely with the internal creative team as well as key stakeholders within the marketing, PR and product development departments to ensure creative is developed according to strategy and deadlines are being met. The Director must have excellent organizational abilities, be comfortable working in a deadline driven time sensitive work environment and be capable of managing multiple projects at once.

About Your Responsibilities

Manage workflow and schedules for seasonal programs within the Global Creative Department

Ensure milestones for Print, Visual Merchandise, Digital and Social programs are established, aligned on and met

Work closely with the Copy and Design teams on all programs to ensure work is executed, presented, approved and rolled out in a timely manner. Regularly validate and adjust timelines as needed

Manage the bidding process with new photographers including outreach, rate negotiations, budget analysis and overall production oversight

Oversee line production for photoshoots. This includes partnering closely with the video producer to ensure production plans for video and stills are well coordinated

Establish feasibility and timing of incoming requests in order to gain official approvals and start/completion dates. Communicate project approvals, start/completion dates, progress reports, and expectations of delivery should completion date timing need to be amended

Once projects are approved, act as liaison to traffic information between cross-functional teams to ensure project requests have all necessary elements to kick off projects, such as copy, creative assets, and marketing objectives

Attend all necessary Creative Review meetings with the marketing teams

Communicate updates and timeline concerns to key stakeholders

Attend weekly Creative Operations Design Review meetings to prioritize and track status of global projects

Partner with Creative department Executive Directors to prioritize projects and negotiate timelines as needed

Identify and establish new processes that encourage efficiency in project management and information workflow with Executive Director, Creative Operations

Highly collaborative with strong verbal and written skills

Understand the upcoming launches in the global marketing calendar



About You

8 years relevant work experience in project management / production within a fast-paced creative environment

Proactive self-starter with strong leadership, customer service and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to organize, prioritize, persuade, and collaborate

Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a very fast-paced environment, and react with a sense urgency

Interest and willingness to refine processes in an entrepreneurial creative environment

Computer skills: Mac OS, Microsoft Office required; Adobe Suite and Smartsheet are a plus

Experience in the Multi-Specialty retail channel and in Beauty is a distinct advantage

Global Project Management experience preferred

Undergraduate College degree preferred
